The Technical Access and Rescue Academy (TARA) is a specialist training organisation, based in Plimmerton, Porirua. In 2016 TARA became New Zealand’s first locally owned and operated IRATA member company and is the only institution to offer training and assessment toward both the International Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) and International Technical Rescue Association (ITRA). We offer courses specific to the access and rescue industries which include rope access, rope rescue, confined space, height safety and much more.
